What happens next
Once your referral form has been completed, you have had your initial assessment with Talking Therapies and been referred to your dedicated Employment Advisor, you can access our Employment Support Service.
In partnership with
Your Employment Support Advisor
An Employment Advisor will work with you to discuss your goals around employment, help you with any workplace issues you may need support with as well as identifying where any additional training or skills-building would be beneficial to you. Their aim is to support your mental health and well-being as well as giving practical solutions over twelve individual sessions – all tailored to help you achieve your goals.
The employment support sessions
We can provide support in a way that works best for you. Your sessions can be held via video call, over the phone, or in person. If you’re new to video calls, your Employment Advisor can guide you through the process.
Our How we can help you section lists the types of support we offer, which include a combination of practices tailored to your specific needs. This may include helping you access training programmes or connecting you with specialist support when needed.
Programme Completion and Next Steps
Once you have attended your 12 sessions, your support will be completed. Your Employment Advisor will offer guidance and advice of other services you may find useful for further support. Patients can come back into therapy if it is needed and can also access Employment Support again.
MHM also have another service that covers East Durham, for those ending treatment and only require further Employment Advisor support – we can link you to this service.
